In 2012 Carmichael left the group and was replaced by PJ Morton. Their next single, Moves Like Jagger, did the same in 2011. This album reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100. The debut of Maroon 5's second album, It Won't Be Soon Before Long, was what really set them off as number one. Along with this success, the group won the Grammy Award for Best New Artist in 2005. They later went platinum in 2004 because of their rapidly growing success. And with help from their single, "Harder to Breath", Maroon 5 peaked at #6 on the Billboard 200 chart. This was a year after the original name change. Not long after this, they also signed with Octone Records, which helped them release their pilot album, Songs About Jane. To help with this, Maroon 5 added their new lead guitarist, James Valentine.
